Hunter Civil has civil projects across Canterbury and South Island in 3 waters, piling, bridges, structures projects and steel fabrication.

We are looking for experienced welder fabricator that will work well with their experienced team.

This is a full-time role best suited to someone who is physically fit and enjoys spending their day outdoors, who is experienced, versatile, reliable and has a good work ethic.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proficiency in welding and using various fabrication tools and equipment, welding certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years structural welding and fabricating experience with mild steel & stainless steel (MIG, TIG, ARC)
  • Pipe fabrication experience is preferable 
  • Preference would be given to applicants with current welding tickets
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, including welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools
  • The ability to read, understand and follow engineering drawings accurately
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet industry standards and project requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftmanship
  • Willingness to travel when required
  • Clean driver licence, with your own reliable transport
  • Preference would be given to applicants with class 2 truck licence
  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
  • To have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Be reliable and punctual
